Green Steel & Green Hydrogen: The Decarbonization Case

July 18, 2023

The steel industry is crucial for the world with its widespread application in the construction, automotive and mechanical parts industries.

But with stricter carbon emissions laws in place, the steel industry needs to undergo rapid decarbonisation, as it is one the most consumed materials globally. Even though steel is critical for the energy transition and is set to grow massively, steel is one of the hard to abate industries. Due to its significance, there is a growing need to decarbonise the industry and green hydrogen is set to play a massive role in it.

So how can green hydrogen play a role in steel decarbonisation?
