Due to a rich renewable potential, the Middle east, North Africa, South America and Australia are touted to be big green hydrogen exporters aiming to satiate the demands of demand centers such as Europe and East Asia. Considering the four main countries in these regions for green hydrogen export, Australia, Chile, Morocco and Oman, governments have taken various steps in facilitating export driven green hydrogen production.
Governments are seen to undertake a variety of approaches such as creating subsidy and public funding programs to de-risk large scale projects, while some have gone for a land allocation based tendering process as a method of de-risking. But one common factor is the development of key common infrastructure to assist industrial production centers and port facilities for ease of export of the final product.
